Harvey Anderson had one of the top society dance bands in the DFW area for decades before his death in December of 1993. This was a tribute in his honor five weeks before he died. The trumpet soloist is Don Thomas (1923-2013), one of the great musicians from for the DFW area. Harvey is the lead alto sax player in the middle of the sax section. The rest of the band is made of musicians who had worked in Harvey’s bands over the years, and came out to play for free that day.
