97 year old Jim Milan leads his group of musicians every Tuesday might in Fort Worth at the Shipping and receiving club on the south side of Fort Worth. Jim may be the best 97 year old valve trombone player ever!
Chuck Mandernach leads this great band of trombones and rhythm section players, and has for 40 years. They perform about once a month in Dallas, and you can hear some of the best musicians in Dallas, mostly trombone players. It’s a unique group, and this is from their concert at the Free Man in Deep Ellum in August of 2019.
The North Texas One O’Clock Lab band toured Switzerland in 1980, and this is a tune from one of their concerts. Leon Breeden introduces the band, which was an amazing collection of musicians.
