August 27, 2019 Threshold Bill North Texas One O'Clock 0 This was the North Texas One O’Clock Lab band in December of 1975 playing in Fort Worth at the North Side Coliseum. Pete Brewer is the flute and sax soloist, and Mike Davis in the trumpet soloist.
August 27, 2019 Lew Gillis Jingle Bill Lew Gillis 0 Lew Gillis was a Fort Worth writer and arranger, and this is a series of jingles he did for the Fort Worth National Bank, which was bought out in 1979. Marsha Hadfield was the singer, and she died around 1998. Fort Worth and Dallas were the jingle capitals of America back in the 70’s. Lew also conducted the Miss Texas Pageant, and the Fort Worth rodeo for years, in addition to arranging for the shows at the Six Flags parks. Lew died in 1989.

Jim may be the best 97 year old valve trombone player ever!
August 27, 2019 Them Bones in Dallas on August 18, 2019 Bill Them Bones 0 Chuck Mandernach leads this great band of trombones and rhythm section players, and has for 40 years. They perform about once a month in Dallas, and you can hear some of the best musicians in Dallas, mostly trombone players. It’s a unique group, and this is from their concert at the Free Man in Deep Ellum in August of 2019.
